The short version
Pouches is local-first. Your pouch log, nicotine strength, spending, quit plan, and reasons for quitting are stored on your iPhone and are not uploaded to our servers. We do not sell data, we do not run ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. There are no accounts.
Data stored on your device
Every pouch you log (its time and nicotine strength), your starting daily amount, your target and plan length, the price you pay per can, your reason for quitting, and your appearance preference are stored only in the app's local storage on your device. Deleting the app, or using "Reset all data" in the Profile tab, deletes this data.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage your Pro status, and Superwall to display our paywall. They receive a pseudonymous app-user identifier, purchase data, and paywall-interaction events, never your name, email, or pouch log. See revenuecat.com/privacy and superwall.com/privacy.
Analytics
We collect anonymous product-interaction events (for example, that onboarding was completed or a pouch was logged, without the log itself) and a device identifier, using PostHog, to understand which features help people cut down. This data is not linked to your identity and is never used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Adults only
Pouches is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Your choices
You can delete all app data at any time with "Reset all data" or by deleting the app. For any privacy question or data request, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
